Write your mystery, suspense thriller, or horror book!
The goal is to complete a draft of a novel over the twelve week sequence. Each class will focus on a different element of the craft, such as character, conflict, emotional grounding, POV, world, structure, scenework, pacing, and narrative arc. Through workshop discussion, you'll receive constructive and supportive feedback as your novel develops. You'll share excerpts from your work and we'll brainstorm with you story-related questions you have about your manuscript. You'll make weekly progress as you deepen your understanding and practice of the craft. At the end of each six-week class, you will submit 30 pp to your instructor and in return receive specific notes and advice for revising or finishing the novel.
