that sells your book!
It's not easy boiling down a several hundred page novel to a 300-word query, but there are tricks to successfully pitching your book. We'll teach you how to grab an agent and editor's attention, what to highlight and what not to include, and review all the core elements of a successful pitch for your work.
Learn to formulate an attention-grabbing opener
Concisely convey your story premise
Emotionally ground your presentation of your character(s) and their arc
Clarify the core conflicts
Establish a rich and realistic but not overly detailed world
Punch up the pacing and set tone (is it a mystery? thriller? horror? romance?)
Relate your--and our--personal connection to the material
