Is there homework?

Yes! This is a course designed to get you to a solid idea for a thriller, horror, or suspense in less than a week. It's a shortcut many first authors wish they'd had. But you also have to put in the work. Every day there's a brief assignment. And the more you put into it, the better your foundational concept will be.

I need feedback, not just a webinar.

We got you. It's frustrating to work through webinars with no real feedback at any point in the process. We hold midweek office hours to answer any questions that arise. And at the end of the week there's a pitch seminar where you will get personalized feedback from us on your new killer concept. Finally, you'll be invited to join our alumni community where you'll meet others devoted to the craft.

Will you sell my book for me?

We can't sell your book for you, but our alumni will be invited to our private Facebook group. There we'll have occasional agent guests to help you learn more about the traditional publishing process--and self-published guests to help you learn more about that path.

I've been on submission to agents before and nothing happened.

This is exactly why we designed this course. Thousands of books get submitted every year. But few make the cut to publication. This course will help you design a gripping core concept that will attract readers and editors.

You emphasize selling my book, but I want to write something good.

Good books sell. And good genre books sell exceptionally well. We want to help you excel in telling your personal stories, the stories only you can tell, and in the art of writing electrifying mystery, horror, and suspense. Well-written genre books with strong concepts sell.

After I finish the course and have my pitch, what's next?

Once you have your concept down, you're ready to move on to "4 Weeks to Develop Your Book!" "5 Days to a Killer Concept" is the first in a sequence of three courses. Part II is a book development course: "4 Weeks to Develop Your Book." And Part III is "12 Weeks to Write Your Book" (because, yes, you can write a good book in three months if you've put in the development work up-front.)

Do you issue refunds?

Our refund policy is as follows: 100% if we are notified 30 days before the first day of the class. 50% if we are notified 15 days before the first day of class. 0% after that.

I have more questions. Where can I contact you?

Just email us at genremasters@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
